Since 1993, the Omega Seamaster Diver 300 meters watch has many watch lovers for its legendary story. In that year, this watch announced the strong return of Omega in diving watch manufacturing by virtue of its extraordinary design and professional diving performance, and this brand also began a long-term cooperation with James Bond. Twenty-five years later, Omega launched a new Seamaster 300-meter diving watches for the hippocampus, to pay tribute to the extraordinary achievements of the Seamaster watches.

In 2018, Omega’s new Seamaster 300 meter dive watch has revolutionized the design of the 1993 prototype and provided as many as 14 rich watch models, of which 6 were made of stainless steel and the other 8 were used stainless steel and K gold mixed materials.

The watch case diameter was upgraded to 42 mm and equipped with an Omega 8800 movement, achieving an outstanding improvement in precision, performance and anti-magnetic properties.

The appearance design of the watch also has a new look. The iconic diver’s bezel is made of ceramic, and the dive scale is either built with Omega Ceragold® technology or covered with a white enamel for a lasting pure aesthetic.

The watch adopts with black, blue or PVD chrome polished ceramic dials, and uses laser engraving technology to present the popular Seamaster 300 meters diving watch with a popular ripple pattern.

The hour scale on the dial is newly upgraded with Super-LumiNova luminous coating. The calendar window is adjusted to 6 o’clock. The hollow pointer is made in three forms (18K gold, blue or rhodium-plated), and there are other minor adjustments in the design. It is believed that Seamaster watch lovers will certainly notice this detail.

The helium valves have always been one of the distinguishing features of the Omega Seamaster 300 meter diving watch. The new watch changed the row of helium valves to a conical shape and adopted Omega’s patented technology to allow the wearer to discharge the helium inside the watch underwater.

The corrugated edge design on the back of the watch is also eye-catching. Through the sapphire glass back, the movement is clearly visible.

The new watch is equipped with a classic stainless steel bracelet, or a one-piece rubber strap in black and blue. The metal bracelet is ergonomically designed to connect more closely with the case. The watch also uses Omega’s patented push-pull adjustable clasp, allowing divers to easily adjust.

In 1993, when the first Seamaster 300 meters professional diving watch came out, Omega creatively integrated the base metal into it. The color of the base metal is commensurate with the innovative design details of the watch, including the design of a professional dive for helium valves, push-pull adjustable clasps and more.

What makes a difference is that the watch’s diving bezel and the middle link of the bracelet are made of base metal, while the matte case and other parts of the bracelet are made of secondary titanium metal. The base metal in blue-gray and gray forms a subtle contrast with the color of the secondary titanium metal. The crown, diver’s bezel, and helium valves are made of Sedna® 18K gold. In addition, Sedna® 18K gold is also used in the middle link section of the pointer and bracelet.

The transparent back is decorated with a Seamaster motif, highlighting the deep connection between the Omega Seamaster and diving. Through the sapphire glass case back, the operational beauty of the Omega 8806 movement was fully demonstrated. Both the watch and the movement have achieved an outstanding improvement in precision, performance and anti-magnetic properties through the highly accredited watchmaking industry’s standards by the Swiss METAS.
